
Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) fall play season is going back to nature with “Into the Woods” and “In a Grove,” getting caught in “Charlotte’s Web,” and delving into an investigation with “DNA” before it’s “Curtains.”

With over 600 people in attendance, Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) ESOL students and their families attended the 22nd annual ESOL Community Night at John Hanson Middle School last week. Families were able to gather valuable information from local organizations including the CCPS School Counseling Department, The Charles County Public Library, LifeStyles of Maryland Inc.


Isaiah DeLeonard, a junior at La Plata High School, left, introduced Gov. Wes Moore at the Oct. 27 Freedom Fund Dinner held at the College of Southern Maryland (CSM). The dinner was part of the NAACP Maryland State Conference held Oct. 27 and 28 at CSM. DeLeonard is pictured with Moore, center, and Charles County NAACP President Dyotha Sweat.
