Palmview High School is proud to recognize the incredible accomplishments of our students, programs, teachers, and staff as we enter the final weeks of the school year.
Congratulations to our PHS Baseball Team for defeating the Rowe Warriors in the Area Round of the playoffs. Way to go, Lobos! Your hard work, teamwork, and determination continue to make our campus and community proud.
We also celebrate our outstanding Fine Arts performers in Mariachi, Rubies, Choir, and Theater for closing out the year in extraordinary fashion. Their talent, commitment, and focus were clearly evident during their end-of-year performances, and we are proud of the way they represented Palmview High School.
A special thank you goes out to Mr. Regalado, Mr. Serafin Hernandez, Ms. Alaniz, Ms. Silva, Ms. Sepulveda, and Mr. Roel Gonzalez for assisting with Saturday TSI Camps. We had 52 students participate, with 12 students passing their TSIA — 7 in Writing and 5 in Reading. Thank you as well to all teachers who helped prepare students for their exams. Your guidance and dedication truly make a difference.
As we continue through these final weeks, let’s work together to ensure our students finish the year strong, stay focused, and continue moving toward success.

Monday, May 11
Graduation Practice will take place at 8:30 a.m. Permission slips are required, and students may not drive themselves to the venue. AP Testing also continues with a 12:00 p.m. Seminar session.
Tuesday, May 12
Tutoring will be held from 4:35–6:00 p.m. AP Precalculus testing begins at 8:00 a.m. IOWA Testing for 11th and 12th grade EB possible reclassification students will take place in A92. The Senior Baccalaureate will be held at 6:00 p.m. at Fine Arts in La Joya.
Wednesday, May 13
Tutoring will be held from 4:35–6:00 p.m. AP English Language & Composition testing begins at 8:00 a.m. IOWA Testing continues for 11th and 12th grade EB possible reclassification students. The Theater Palm Awards Ceremony will take place from 4:30–10:00 p.m.
Thursday, May 14
AP Spanish Language & Culture testing begins at 8:00 a.m. GT Night Student Project Presentations and AP/Dual Teacher Course Presentations will take place from 5:30–6:30 p.m. in the PHS Cafeteria.
Friday, May 15
AP Environmental Science testing begins at 8:00 a.m. The PHS Band End-of-Year Concert will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the La Joya PAC. The Theater & Choir Concert will take place in the Black Box from 7:00–8:00 p.m. The 6th six weeks also ends for prospective graduates.
Saturday, May 16
Palmview students will participate in the Texas Best Conjunto Competition in Austin, TX.
Late AP Testing Reminder: Palmview High School will continue with Late AP Testing the week of May 19–21. Exams include AP United States History, AP Seminar, AP Macroeconomics, and AP Calculus AB. Students scheduled for late testing should arrive on time, follow all testing instructions, and check with campus staff for their assigned testing location. Please note that the AP United States History time is listed as 12:00 AM, so families and students should verify whether this should be 12:00 PM/noon.

⚾ Lobo Baseball: Bi-District Champions!
Congratulations to our Palmview Lobo Baseball Team for winning their Bi-District playoff series against Flour Bluff!
The Lobos showed resilience and championship heart, battling back after an opening-game loss and finishing strong to claim the 2026 Division I Bi-District Championship. Palmview now advances to the Area Round, where they will take on Nikki Rowe.

🪗 Conjunto La Tradición Celebrates State Championship Recognition
Congratulations to Mr. Javier Loya, who recently received a resolution from the Texas House of Representatives for his leadership and commitment to PHS Conjunto La Tradición. He also received a Texas flag that was flown at the Capitol.
Conjunto La Tradición won the State Championship at the La Cultura Vive “Duelo” State Competition in the Team Division. In addition, the Varsity, JV, and Beginners groups all earned Division I Superior Ratings.
Mr. Loya is part of an exceptional team led by Ms. Mayra Garcia and assisted by Mr. Adrian Zambrano. Congratulations to our outstanding Conjunto program!
